Q1 Results 2024: Vodafone Idea, NMDC, Voltas, Happiest Minds Technologies, Senco Gold, and others to report Q1 earnings today (2024)

Vodafone Idea has 210.1 million subscribers as of June 30, 2024 of which approximately 60 per cent are 4G subscribers.

The company’s capex spend for the quarter stood at Rs 760.00 crore. The total debt from banks and financial institutions stood at Rs 4650 crore and Optionally Convertible Debentures at Rs. 160 crore as of June 30, 2024. The debt from banks and financial institutions reduced by Rs 4550 crore during the last one year (was at Rs 9200 crore in Q1FY24). The cash and bank balance stood at Rs 18150.00 crore as of June 30, 2024.

Vodafone Idea said that the payment obligations to the Government stood at Rs 209.52 thousand crore as of June 30, 2024 including deferred spectrum payment obligations of Rs. 139.20 thousand crore and AGR liability of Rs 70.32 thousand crore.

Telecom firm Vodafone Idea Ltd on Monday released its fiscal first quarter earnings report with loss narrowed to Rs 6432.10 crore from Rs 7840.00 crore recorded during the first quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 10,508.30 crore, down 1.4 per cent as against Rs 10,655.50 crore during the corresponding quarter of previous financial year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 4,204.7 crore, down 3 per cent on-year. Vodafone Idea reported Q1 ARPU at Rs 146 vs Rs 139 YoY.

Housing & Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) on Monday reported its fiscal first quarter profit at Rs 557.75 crore, posting a growth of 25.2 per cent in comparison to Rs 445.65 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 2188.35 crore, up 18.8 per cent as against Rs 1842.61 crore during the same period of previous financial year. The Net Interest Income (NII) during the quarter was recorded at Rs 724.7 crore, up 11.2 per cent YoY.

Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd (IRFC) on Monday posted its fiscal first quarter earnings with profit at Rs 1576.83 crore, up 1.6 per cent as against Rs 1551.28 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 6765.63 crore, reporting a growth of 1.4 per cent in comparison to Rs 6673.88 core during the same period of previous fiscal year.

Hindustan Copper Ltd on Monday recorded a profit of Rs 113.40 crore for the first quarter of FY25, posting a growth of 139.8 per cent in comparison to Rs 47.28 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 493.60 crore, up 33.1 per cent as against Rs 370.94 crore during the same period of previous financial year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 188.3 crore.

Campus Activewear announced the re-appointment of Hari Krishan Agarwal as Chairman & Managing Director of the company for a period of three years with effect from 2nd December, 2024. Campus Activewear Ltd on Monday posted its fiscal first quarter earnings with profit at Rs 25.38 crore, down 19.4 per cent in comparison to Rs 31.48 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 339.16 crore, reporting a decline of 4.1 per cent as against Rs 353.76 crore during the same period of previous fiscal year, amidst muted demand scenario driven by general elections. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 51.8 crore, down 21.8 per cent YoY. Sales volume, it said, stood at 5.8 million pairs in Q1FY25 driven by higher sale of open footwear.

Power Mech Projects Ltd on Monday announced its fiscal first quarter earnings with profit at Rs 61.72 crore, up 21.1 per cent in comparison to Rs 50.96 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 1007.39 crore, recording a growth of 16.4 per cent as against Rs 865.13 crore during the same period of previous fiscal year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 113.6 crore, up 14.4 per cent on-year.

ITI Ltd on Monday narrowed its Q1FY25 loss at Rs 91.31 crore in comparison to a loss of Rs 568.92 crore incurred during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 519.98 crore, recording a growth of 231.1 per cent as against Rs 157.04 crore during the same period of previous financial year. EBITDA loss was at Rs 12.5 crore vs EBITDA loss of Rs 49 crore during Q1FY24.

Subros Ltd on Monday posted Q1 profit at Rs 34.99 crore for FY25, up 158.0 per cent in comparison to Rs 13.56 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 809.82 crore, up 16.8 per cent as against Rs 693.21 crore during the first quarter of previous financial year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 76 crore, up 61.7 per cent YoY.

AIA Engineering’s order book as at 1st July 2024 stood at Rs 738 crore. And the outstanding foreign currency forward contracts (sales contract, as on date) came in at US$ 57.00 MIO, AUD 22.85 MIO.

Further, the company said that the capex incurred during Q1FY25 was at Rs 50 crore.

AIA Engineering Ltd on Monday posted its fiscal first quarter earnings with profit at Rs 259.41 crore, down 4.8 per cent as against Rs 272.52 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It recorded revenue from operations at Rs 1019.97 crore, down 17.7 per cent as against Rs 1239.59 crore during the same period of previous fiscal year. The company EBITDA was down 15.8 per cent at Rs 288.9 crore.

Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd on Monday recorded a profit decline of 4.6 per cent on-year for the first quarter of FY25 at Rs 70.15 crore, in comparison to Rs 73.51 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 1421.60 crore, up 2.3 per cent as against Rs 1389.62 crore during the same period of previous financial year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 169.1 crore, up 3.6 per cent YoY.

RateGain Travel Technologies Ltd on Monday recorded a profit of Rs 45.38 crore, posting a growth of 82.2 per cent in comparison to Rs 24.91 crore during the same period of FY24. It posted a revenue from operations at Rs 260.01 crore, up 21.2 per cent as against Rs 214.48 crore during the first quarter of previous financial year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 49.7 crore, up 31.5 per cent on-year.

Juniper Hotels Ltd on Monday reported its fiscal first quarter profit at Rs 11.67 crore in comparison to a loss of Rs 10.85 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 199.69 crore, up 19.1 per cent as against Rs 167.65 crore during the same period of previous financial year, despite disruption due to construction and refurbishment at Grand Hyatt Mumbai. The company EBITDA dropped by 1 per cent on-year to Rs 62.4 crore.

Man Industries (India) Ltd on Monday reported its fiscal first quarter earnings with profit at Rs 19.05 crore, posting a decline of 21.1 per cent in comparison to Rs 24.13 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 748.70 crore, down 7.6 per cent as against Rs 810.68 crore during the same period of previous fiscal year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 38 crore, down 35.6 per cent YoY.

The company board has also approved setting-up of a new plant at Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with an approximate project cost of Rs 600 crore.

Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Limited on Monday reported its fiscal first quarter earnings wherein it posted a loss of Rs 67.05 crore, lower than the loss of Rs 74.69 crore incurred during Q1FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 1,385.68 crore, up 1.9 per cent as against Rs 1,360.13 crore during the same period of previous financial year.

The company’s sugar business recorded Q1 revenue at Rs 1248.31 crore, while the distillery segment posted revenue of Rs 203.88 crore, and the power vertical reported a revenue of Rs 29.06 crore during the quarter in review.

Borosil Renewables Ltd on Monday posted a loss of Rs 14.24 crore during the first quarter of FY25, higher than the loss incurred during the corresponding quarter of previous financial year. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 370.79 crore, up 4.6 per cent as against Rs 354.50 crore during the same period of FY24. The company EBITDA was down by 14.3 per cent on-year at Rs 22.7 crore.

The company board also recommended a final dividend @ Rs 2 per share (40 per cent on face value of Rs 5 each) for the financial year 2023‐24. “The above final dividend is in addition to the first interim dividend of Re 1 per share and second interim dividend of Rs 2 per share (total of Rs 3 i.e. 60 per cent on face value of Rs 5 each) already paid during the financial year 2023‐24,” the company said in a regulatory filing.

Swarnendu Bhushan, Co-head of Institutional Equities, PL Capital- Prabhudas Lilladher, said, “Oil India (OINL) reported an EBITDA of Rs24.7bn (up 5.6% QoQ, PLe: Rs25.2bn). PAT came in at Rs14.7bn (down 27.7% QoQ, PLe: Rs18.9bn) on a standalone basis. Decline in PAT was on account of lower other income. Total oil and gas production grew by 2.7% and 1.6% QoQ, respectively. The company has guided for a production target of 4mmt of oil and 5bcm of gas by FY26. On a conservative basis, we build in 8% and 16% volume CAGR over FY24-26 to 3.9mmt of oil and 4.3bcm of gas, respectively, by FY26. Net oil realization at ~US$75/bbl continues to remain at comfortable levels and gas realization would rise by US$0.25/mmBtu to US$6.75/mmBtu from 1st Apr’25.”

Navneet Education Limited on Monday reported its fiscal first quarter earnings with profit at Rs 745.66 crore, recording a surge of 1456.4 per cent in comparison to Rs 47.91 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 797.81 crore, up 83.3 per cent as against Rs 435.28 crore during the same period of previous financial year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 220 crore.

Cera Sanitaryware Ltd on Monday reported a profit decline of 16.3 per cent during the first quarter of FY25 at Rs 47.46 crore in comparison to Rs 56.70 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 400.71 crore, down 6.5 per cent as against Rs 428.63 crore during the same period of previous fiscal year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 58 crore, down 17.8 per cent on-year.

A report by InCred Equities stated, “Q1FY25 normalized consolidated EPS of Eicher Motors grew 11% yoy to Rs37.3, in line with Bloomberg or BB consensus estimate but 5% above our estimate. The sharp ASP upswing of 10% yoy and qoq in bikes came as a surprise. EBITDA at Rs11.7bn, +14% yoy and 3% qoq, was 13% above our estimate and 6% above BB consensus estimate. Big inventory gain benefit on the EBITDA margin. We adjust for one-time deferred tax credit of Rs1.46bn in VE Commercial Vehicles for its adoption of the new tax regime.”
